Kmart Double Coupons 8/8/10-8/14/10

Kmart double coupons are back starting Sunday through 8/14/10. Coupons up to $1.00 will be doubled. So if you have a $1.00 coupon, its value will be $2.00 during this event.  They will not give you overage. That means if your coupon is for $1.00 it will double to $2.00, if your item costs less than $2.00 you will get the item for free. The list of participating stores can be found here.

Now, I'll be the first to admit it is not as exciting as it has been in years past as the limit is now 5 coupons per person per day.  They now require you to have a Kmart Rewards card - presumably to track and enforce the 5 per day limit. It is a free card but requires registration, you can sign up here (although at this late date it may be better to just sign up in the store). Since the closest one to me is about a half hour away, I will probably sit this one out again.

If your thinking about doing some doubles, I recommend checking to see if your state is participating in the Sales Tax Holiday. You are likely to end up with a lot of school /office supplies for just the price your local county tax.

Attention Kmart Shoppers!

When I was a kid, back to school shopping never really started until you heard those words. "Attention Kmart Shoppers!" What can I say? It was the 70's and that is where my mom shopped.

Over the years Kmart has undergone some serious changes....some good, some bad. For me, as a couponer they are mostly bad changes. Their "big double coupon" events have gotten very small, and not worth the effort. The closest Kmart to me is about 25 minutes away, hardly worth the trip. Nonetheless, I subscribe to their emails just in case something good popped up one day. Today is that day! I just got an email from Kmart with these offers...

Go and "like" Kmart's Facebook page to enter win a $20 gift card instantly. Gift cards will be given away every 10 minutes through 9/6/10 and you can enter once per day. Update: I just went to play the Kmart gift card instant win game and got the following message: "We've become aware that third parties have been attempting to unfairly participate in the Kmart online Win a $20 Gift Card Every 10 Minutes Instant Win Promotion. In order to insure a fair playing field for our customers, we have elected to suspend this game in accordance with the Official Rules. Sorry for the inconvenience."

If not, there are some other things going on over at Kmart that might interest you:
  • $5 off your merchandise purchase when you buy $20 of participating items: Schick Hydro, Hawaiian Tropic, Banana Boat, Playtex Gentle Glide and Sport tampons 18 and 36 ct, Wet Ones, Energizer Lithium batteries Offer valid 8/1-8/14
  • Save $4 when you buy ANY 4 General Mills participating products. Offer valid 8/1/10 - 8/7/10. Must buy four (4) items to apply. Participating products are all General Mills cereals (8.7 - 15.7oz) and Betty Crocker® fruit-flavored snacks (4.5 - 9oz). Limit one offer per household. It pictures Cheerios & Scooby Doo fruit snacks at 4 for $6 after instant discount.
  • Get a coupon for up to $8 OYNO wyb Crayola, Mead, 3M, Sanford or Avery products 7/11-8/14. Spending $15 gets you a $4 coupon and spending $25 gets you an $8 coupon.

    • Crayola 24 ct. crayons .25
    • Crayola 10 ct. broad markers $1
    • Crayola 10 ct. fine classic markers $1
    • Crayola 8 ct. watercolors $1

Rolling doubles at Kmart starting Sunday 4/4

It's that fabulous time of year again! Kmart double coupons are back for five days starting this Sunday 4/4/10. Coupons up to $2.00 will be doubled. So if you have a $2.00 coupon, its value will be $4.00 during this event.  They will not give you overage. That means if your coupon is for $1.50 it will double to $3.00, if your item costs less than $3.00 you will get the item for free. The list of participating stores can be found here

While I am not a big Kmart shopper as the closest one to me is about a half hour away, double coupons are double coupons!   My Frugal Adventures has put together a really great list of coupon match ups so stop on over there and check it out.
